‘I am not a product of my circumstances. I am a product of my decisions’-Stephen Covey. Joining GECT, one of the most prestigious technical educational institutions in south India, was the superlative among all the decisions I made in my life to kickstart my collegiate journey. GECT with a rich tradition of pursuing excellence in challenging research-oriented academics and a multitude of sports, cultural & organizational activities nurtured us with the flexibility to acquire diverse skillsets especially through highly pronounced industry interactions. The GECT Training & Placement Cell, through its coherent and streamlined aptitude cum technical training & recruitment process holds the paramount position in helping me grab the golden helm to embark on my exploration from the shore of concepts towards the ocean of commissioning at Reliance Industries Limited. I am also indebted to volunteer at the Placement cell and receive the wholehearted support of the entire GECT family and my mentors. Wishing all the very best to the forthcoming batches for their future endeavors!

It is said that ‘You just have to have the right guidance to lead you in the right direction until you can do it yourself’ and when it’s like the one from the placement cell of GECT, you have got the best. The opportunities and experiences I have got as a placement cell volunteer are unparalleled. The training classes and mock interviews conducted have helped me with the enrichment of my aptitude, technical and soft skills. The faculty of the cell, always ready to support and help, have encouraged us at every step helping us secure our placements even during the pandemic. I extend my deep debt of gratitude towards all the teachers and staff of GECT for giving me such a wonderful experience.

I am forever grateful for GECT for providing us with great education filled with many extra- curricular activities and also for presenting us with opportunities to crack one of many numerous campus placements. Entering my final year, I had doubts on how to prepare for the coming placements. I had nothing to worry as the training provided by the placement cell was up to par. It helped me tackle the interviews and concentrate on the weaker topics to improve them. Being a placement cell volunteer myself, I was able to see how much hard work is being put in by the placement officers and staff to ensure each student is provided with the best opportunity achievable by him. I will always be indebted to the placement cell and the guidance it has given me.

The B.Tech and GEC itself was a complete experience for all of us. Every little thing from the highly supportive tutors, competitive peer group to the great alumni backbones, and the take on modern social perspectives made us more than an engineer. I successfully obtained a good offer from the renowned startup KeyValue and an internship through the opportunities that placement cell provides. So I do want to extend my gratitude to the Placement Cell for the continued efforts in making the placement hit records!

It was a great experience studying at Government Engineering College Thrissur, a memory to cherish for a lifetime. I had the opportunity to grow my academic, interpersonal and technical skills, which helped me become a disciplined and knowledgeable man. Thanks to all the faculty and seniors who helped me in the same. One great choice I made during my academic period was to join the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) collegiate club, which gave me the chance to participate in many projects and internships that added to my knowledge and skills. The academic system did not constrain me to my curriculum, so I was able to learn computer programming. Finally, thanks to Training & Placement Cell for improving my soft skills and placement assistance.

GECT will always have a special place in my heart, it is the place that made me into the person I am today. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the placement cell for paving a path for a brighter future ahead for me and many others like me. I am extremely thankful for the support ,guidance and learning opportunities provided to me by the training and placement cell and the faculty members of GECT.

Success is the rendezvous point of diligence and opportunity. To make the most out of the latter two, the role of a meticulous system is inevitable. GEC offers such a system through its much-esteemed Training and Placement cell by extending support and guidance to its budding engineers. I am indeed grateful to have been a part of this undertaking. I wish all the future batches and the placement cell a fruitful journey.

I enjoy being here at GECT. You have a lot of opportunities to profit from. One of the finest things that has ever occurred to me was becoming a part of the placement cell. The staff and placement officers work very hard to provide a student the greatest chance possible. As a placement volunteer, I got the chance to observe all of these efforts and take part in the process. The training sessions that the placement cell provides provide the students a chance to develop their abilities and confidence. Whenever I think about GEC, first thing that comes to my mind is the placement cell. The placement cell gave students opportunities to showcase their skills and secure their dream job. With the right guidance from the placement cell, I was able to crack the interviews and secure a good future.
